When I set up my first Mac, a PB, I named it "Mustafa's computer", which is how it's recognised by syncing devices.

Now I have a Mac mini, which I set up by copying over all the files and settings, etc. by FireWire. Now, of course, that's also called "Mustafa's computer".

How can I change the name by which each machine is known -- I can't see it in System Preferences.

This is why i hate windows, they are so frickinn' complicated to manage.😡 With Mac you can be good at computers, without being a freak.😛

Actually, it is just as easy to do in Windows as it is on a Mac.

It takes a reboot though.
Yes it does, but it tells you that. I didn't say it was just a quick. I meant it was just as easy to figure out that you don't have to be a "freak" to do it.
