Hi- I successfully ordered last night through the app after going through the IUP pre approval the other day. Only after I got the confirmation email from Apple saying order on progress did I notice that the last 4 digits of the card being used is no longer valid due to fraud on the account last week. Chase sent me a new card but I didn't update it in Apple. Completely slipped my mind as my previous citizens loan was going to my Amex and just figured this one would too with no interference from me.

I went into my Apple account this morning and changed the default to my Amex and deleted the Visa. Problem is, no attempted charges have been made on either card. My order status is still "In progress"

I called Citizen and they said they cannot change card in their system b/c its a new loan for the new phone and they don't have payment info yet and will not receive it until Apple ships the phone. I tried Apple chat and after an hour of waiting finally got someone who said they cannot change payment info b/c its not in their power. They said I have to call Apple. Tried calling Apple last few hours but I get kicked out b/c they are unable to answer my call due to extremely high call volume.

My question is , will Apple try and change my updated card ?

As I said earlier, the card used to place the order is no longer valid. Chase had to close it due to fraudulent attempted charges while I was in Europe las week.
