I was messing around with the widgets that come with tiger. I went to go save the file phonebook.js, and all these password prompts came up. Ok, now the widget does not load. I think it is because all of the permissions for the file phonebook.js have been changed. Whenever I try to change them back to the correct permissions, it doesn't "save" the changes. I tried running the Disk Permissions Repair utility, but it didn't help.

Any suggestions?

If you have root access use the unix command line and enter your user and group names with the chown -R option so at the prompt:
#chown -R user_name:group_name directory_name

this will change the perms on this and all subdirectories to the correct user group, however you must be a superuser to do this.
