I preordered the iPhone 6 16GB which has always been enough for me but I am rethinking things and might want to go with 64. The att gold model I want is still available for 9/19 delivery. What's the best route to go if I decide to switch sizes. Call apple and maybe they can just edit my existing order or just cancel and reorder? I just want to be sure I still get it on release day. Idk if someone has done this yet. Thanks

Ring up first and see if they can change it - if not cancel then re-order it.

If you bought a subsidized phone and still want to preorder you have to cancel then wait for ATT to repopulate your eligibility. That can take anywhere from immediately to a few days. Technology!

Then you can reorder.

If you wait until your phone arrives and then take it back to the store I think you can do an instant exchange. But that involves all the launch day hassle.

Best thing to do is call Apple and see if they can expedite the reestablishing of your eligibility. Maybe they can call and get a verbal from ATT instead of waiting for the system to do it automatically.
