   Tonefxs doesnt seem to be working with 3.0. I do not want to install Winterboard due to battery drain concerns (is this unfounded?) Any other way to install custom SMS tones?

   SSH into your phone and change them yourself.
   the method for doing so is exactly the same as in 2.x
