Is this possible? Firefox can do it with right click -> language or something along those lines, surely Safari can load a different dictionary as well.

    Yes it is.

I'm using a PC with Safari.

Open up a text box in the web (google or whatever) type a word incorrectly. Right click the word.

Choose "Spelling and Grammar" then "Show Spelling and Grammar".

Now choose your language from the drop down box.

Hey thanks! This works exactly the same on a Mac.
Right-click (or control-click) a word. (It doesn't have to be underlined.)
In the context menu hover over "Spelling and Grammar".
    Click "Show Spelling and Grammar".
In the drop down box at the bottom (of the window that pops up) select "British English", or your preferred language.:)

Thanks for this but I am not seeing it the same. My drop down list only says 'Multilingual' (read 'American' ). There are no other options. Do I have to download a British English plug-in from somewhere.
