Changing stock SMS icon.

I have a few questions:

Where is the file directory for the icon?

And I know the name should be Messages.png but what should be the size/pixle of the icon?

I am on iphone4 4.2.1

icon name is icon@2x.png

but as mr gravy says, get BiteSMS or theme your phone with a proper theme using the Bundles method

ok got it. I replaced the icon with a 128 x 128 icon I found online and just backedup the source file on the phone using iphone explorer although preview doesnt show the file for some reason.. weird... anyways.. I changed the filename for the file i downloaded and up swapped it simple as that.

And i hate bitesms too much rubbish for something that is simple. I installed mark that msg, and quickreply and thats all I need from a sms app. 🙂

haha, yeah we dont have a canadian version but the US version is available on cable. But I for one do not watch the news, its all rubbish. I browse CNN and CBC and BBC and thats all the news I need, I choose what I read and no one is forcing something down my 'throat'... LOL

maybe not, but its rubbish to me like i mentioned i install what I need, i do not like so many excess preferences which I do not use or need..but some people may 🙂 I only need the few I mentioned.

This is awesome! I was thinking of reverting the other day
Just a note, make sure to resize the OP's file to the dimensions of the two find on the iPhone (icon.png and icon-Small.png) and replace both

no resizing needed as far as I can tell 128 x 128 works fine, from what I read it was supposed to be 114 x 114...
