bmorris macrumors 6502 Original poster Oct 18, 2009 #1 I thought I saw this awhile back somewhere online, but now I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know how I can change the solid blue color when the mac starts up? I found how to change the login page and stuff. But not the blue screen before that.

O onedamngoal macrumors member May 2, 2010 #2 I was wondering the same question. I would really appreciate a solution. My dream is to have a seemless color transition when booting up.

lewis82 macrumors 68000 May 2, 2010 #4 I suggest you download the Secrets preference pane. It allows you to tweak a lot of things on OS X, including changing the login picture.

I think the OP is referring to the blue screen during boot which is when the system launchd kicks in, some people see and some don't. As far as I know, there is no way to change the color of that background. But, if it is, looking at launchd would be where to start.
