Changing the name of an AppleTV?

I just can't figure out how to do this. I've renamed all of my iPods and would like to rename my AppleTV.

How do I do that?

Click once on AppleTV in the sources list of iTunes, then click again and you will be able to change the name. Just like an iPod.

Just right click on it and rename should be one of the options in the dropdown.

I think you might not be looking in the right place. You are right clicking on the icon in your sources list on the left?

Right under 'Devices'

In fact, when I plug in an iPod, there's

Devices:
kjr's Shuffle
Apple TV

If I 2 click on my shuffle, I can change the name.
If I 2 click on my ATV, I get nuttin.

Have you tried quitting then re-launching iTunes?

You mentioned the only option you have is to "Shut off Streaming". Are you on the computer the AppleTV is synced to or are you on one that you are just streaming from. If you are not on the computer it is synced to you can not edit the AppleTv from there.
