The dealer set up my new iMac and user my full name on and I don't want that. Is there a way to change it without reinstalling everything?

Changing User Name

You can create a new user with administrative powers if you want, and you can change the full name via System Preferences > Account.
To change the short name (also the name of your home folder/user account folder in Users > YOU) follow Apple's instructions:
