I have a 2018 iPad Pro (11") and I often use it to extend the screen to my TV, using a Lention USB-C to female-HDMI convert that I bought on Amazon. It works great! With one downside, the battery goes rather quickly.

So the question is, does anyone have any experience with an adapter that will let me charge the iPad Pro while I am extending the screen? I assume there must be some splitter I could get? Or is it even possible?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply chabig. I saw this before I bought my Lention adapter and was a bit hesitant. It has fairly bad reviews all over the place, it's pricey and it looks overtly bulky. Have you personally tried it? I was hoping to find a splitter but I supposed this would cover everything.

I use the older model regularly. This is pretty new—just a few months old.

For the price of the Apple AV adapter you can get a USB-C hub with PD passthrough and additional features such as USB A ports, 3.5mm headphone and SD reader.

I also bought the lention usb adapter on Amazon. The main user has multi-screen display and there is no problem with the quality.
