Charge iPhone 12 with MacBook USB-C Adapter

Regarding the missing charger ****storm:

is it possible to use the USB-C adapter of never MacBooks or will they blow up the phone

I charge my iPhone 11 Pro with my 80w macbook charger regularly, no problems at all.
