I looked at the Apple specs site, bit their are no "official" stats for how long it takes for a full iPhone charge up. I ask because my iPhone seems to charge abnormally fast, about 1 hour from 5-10% to 100%.

I was just browsing around, and saw that other people get pretty quick charge times as well around 1 hour to 1.30 hours.

I guess it charges up fast and depletes fast as well :p.

Charge is fast!

Ya, the 3G iphone charge time is like 1-2 hours tops. In 15 minutes, mine charged about 30-40%:D

I find that nice and quick, don't you think? I never had an iPhone 2G, but I think the 3G charges faster or not?

It charges a little bit faster, but not by much. I had my iPhone 1st Gen charge up in about 2.5-3 hours when fully depleted.

Is everyone using a wall charger? Also the 3G battery amperage is different.

It will charge faster if using the wall charger then if you charge via your computer. I have verified this on a Mac Pro, MB, MBP and an iMac. Wall charger always charges faster.
