Hi,

I am after a charger and cable to charge my new 13 Pro Max. Any recommendations for here in the UK?

Also for the charging cable, I prefer a strong, heavy duty one as the official apple ones wear away fast and don't last at all imo/ I prefer to try a different brand even if more expensive.

Anker. Excellent quality and support. Used their cables and chargers for years. One cable broke after 3+ years. Contacted Anker and they replaced it promptly. All i needed to provide was proof of purchase.

Charger
Cable

They have other cables too, like braided and what not if you prefer those.

I want fast charging so do Anker do any faster chargers? I have heard the 13 Pro Max can do 30 Watts

You want this 30W charger from Anker. They have other chargers that also do 30W, but this is the closest one to the original Apple 5W charger size.

And while I do like their chargers, I’ve had bad experiences with Anker cables. I went through four of their braided usb 2.0 to lightning cables. They lasted about 6 months each, and all went bad in the same spot just below the lightning connector. I’ve gone back to Apple cables. I have the two meter usb c to lightning cable from Apple and it does seem thicker and better quality than their standard usb 2.0 to lightning connectors.

As long as the charger is USB C and supports PD charging with a minimum of 20W then yes. You get fast charging. So the 20W i linked in my first post will fast charge.

The 30W Anker previous poster mentioned would also work great. Although the real world benefit of 30W over 20W i believe is quite minimal.

I have never tried their braided cables. I just stuck to using their regular Powerline cables.

Can you post me a link please of the Apple cable you have. I want a stronger quality one than the ones that come with the iPhone. Also don't Apple cables fray easily or is this one thicker?
