I had a sport and the charger would lightly attach to the watch -- sometimes I wasn't even sure if it was on. The connection is much stronger with the SS.

I do find this interesting- and wonder if it has to do with the Watch body (aluminum vs. SS) or the different chargers Apple provides for the different versions.

Has anyone mixed and matched by chance somehow? Using the Sport on the metallic charger or the SS watch on the all plastic charger? Does the apparent plastic top on the metallic charger make this moot?

I bought a second (shorter) charger and it appeared to be the one for the SS watch ( I have a Sport). At least it looks different than the one that came with the watch. I haven't had any trouble, the second one is for when I'm traveling and I've used it several times.
