Hi all,
I'm a new macbook user. I recently bought a second hand 13inch macbook pro 2018. Everything is fine, I just don't understand the information in the system report. The following screenshot show that my charger is delivering 389 watt, which is impossible because it's a 61W charger.
Should I be worried about this?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it is a cause for concern. But the whole charger section looks a little weird to me. Mine is showing 86 under Wattage and 1.0 under hardware version. 1.00000000 is a rather odd version number.

I assume this is not an original Apple charger/ it's failing.
If the power rating really is that high, the battery will have a very short life.
I would consider to buy a new OEM charger.

Thank you all for your replies. I spent the night (I live in Australia) to reinstall macOS and after a few reboot, things seem normal now, except the hardware version number.

I would keep an eye on the charger .
Better save than sorry, the price of a OEM charger is not worth risking anything imho...

Thank you. I will keep an eye on the charger, if any strange thing ever happen again, I will buy a new one. I asked the guy sold me this macbook. He guaranteed that the charger is original and this might be a software problem. The guy seemed to be honest. I think this might really be a glitch in the software.
