Charging an iPhone15: Ok to use USB-A to USB-C cable?

Is it safe to use a USB-A to USB-C cable (with a USB-A wall plug) to charge the iphone15? Searched online & really couldn’t find any answers - only thing I could gather was USB-C to USB-C cable is a faster charge. For now I dont care about a faster charge, strapped for cash & so cant buy a 2nd/3rd C-C USB. So wondering if its “safe” to use an A-C USB until I can get more C-C USB’s.

It's completely safe, and I've used this to charge a number of USB-C devices.

But it IS pretty slow. 😔

It works and is the preferred method for charging - use the Apple 5W adapter.

Yes, I tried for first time just yesterday & it is slower than USB C-C.
