Is it possible to charge an iBook(G3) without the charger ?
Can it charge via usb through an iMac or something ?
Or, with an iPod charger ?

Or, do I need to buy a new charger ?

I was traveling quite a bit last year for work. Left a client in Tuscon and discovered that I had forgotten my charger!! Yikes.
Well, I barely survived the next two days on minimal charge. Then flew to LA to visit family and bought one at the MacMall in Santa Monica.

Two weeks later, I left the charger at home. Since it was on a Monday, there was no way I would last the week...so a long drive (60 miles one way) to the nearest place that I could get another one.

Yikes. Wish there was another way to charge an iBook.

Thanks!

I guess I'll have to go get one.

Do you know if I can use it to charge an iPod too ?

Well, the iBook adaptor cannot directly charge the iPod however you could connect the iPod to the iBook to the charger... The iPod has a standalone adaptor that will not charge the iBook. :)
