I have a Contour case on my iPhone 3G. I read that when charging the iPhone the battery heats up and when inside a case it could get a little warm.

My question is, do you charge your iPhone with a case on it? Or do you remove it every night? Its a major pain to take your case off every night.

I'm glad that you opened a thread on this, as I was worrying on this too.
It tends to get a little warm when I get it charge too.
But there isn't any problem so far. *touches wood*

i've always charged in my iskin case without any problems, this is with a first gen iphone and my current 3g iphone

i wouldn't worry about it

When charging with the Griffin Elan Form, I notice that iPhone seems to get a little warmer than I'd like.

it will get warmer, but since you are not draining the battery you should be fine

the overheating refers to a phenomenon where the phone is being overworked ( gps, 3g, full bright screen on, etc) and you attempt to charge it.. it will stop charging if the phone overheats
