Hi everyone!

I got an iPhone X 3 days ago and just realised how extremely slow the bundled 5W charger is. During the festivities I was never able to charge it fully... This is not something I am ready to live with!
On the other hand, having paid so much for this phone, I am not ready to give Apple even more of my money by buying a more powerful charger from them.

I read on a MacRumors article that the 12W iPad charger would be a good upgrade, somewhere in between the stock 5W charger and the faster USB-C solutions. I do not happen to own an iPad, or such a charger.
Therefore I would love to know if the fast charging adapter from a Samsung S7 Edge would work!

The original 5W charger charges at 5V and 1A.
The 12W iPad charger charges at 5.2V and 2.4A.
The Samsung brick charges at 5V and 2.0A or at 9V and 1.67A.

I tried to find out if the iPhone can be charged at 9V, but did not have any luck. I guess you cannot, and the Samsung adapter would work at 10W (5V 2.0A).

Would there be any conflicts because of different brands? What do you guys think?
Thank you a lot!

Thank you very much for your answer! I should expect it to be a little slower than the 12W from the article, but not by much... right? I will now go and pick it up (I do not have it here, that is why I asked instead of trying out myself in the first place :p).
