All iPads Charging issue with ipad Air

I noticed that after reaching 100% charge, the charging symbol stays even after a while has passed. It disappears only when I unplug the power cable. On my previous ipad, the charge symbol would disappear soon after reaching full charge so I am wondering if this is a new feature with the ipad Air?

I've noticed this as well with my rMini.

I've seen this too. I remember how when fully charged it would switch from the lightning bolt to the plug to show fully charged. Now it stays with the bolt.

Could it be that we haven't left them on the charger long enough.

I leave mine charging over night while I'm sleeping and the bolt never goes away.

Perhaps 7.1 will fix this.

I've never seen the plug symbol in iOS 7, only the lightning bolt. Even at 100%
