When I'm doing something fairly intensive, my MBP gets rather warm. When it gets warm, charging is hit or miss. I'll connect the magsafe and the indicator light on the charger will remain green. If I click on the power icon in the menu bar, it will say that it's not charging. Often times, I can unplug and replug the connector several times and get it to charge, but sometimes that takes a long time and once or twice it hasn't worked at all.

I took it to the apple store 2 weeks ago and they switched out part of the charger. I thought it would help, but I'm still having the same issue.

I have two questions:
1. Has anyone else dealt with this?
2. Since my last visit, I have upgraded to 16GB of ram. Do I need to put the original ram in before taking it to the apple store again?
