I just bought another cable so I'll be testing that tonight, but...

My MacBook Pro Retina is only a few weeks old but I have noticed that some times when I plug it in I have to plug it in a few times, or wait for a bit for it to finally start charging and have the LED light up on the charger.

Is this normal with the MagSafe2? I don't remember it being a concern on the older MagSafe. I sure hope its not the MacBook.

Actually it should take around 1-2 seconds until the LED lights up.

It happened to me once that it won't load. I just cleaned the contacts on both Magsafe sides and it worked then.

Good suggestion as I have had a similar problem in the past and this seemed to correct it.

Mine does that too. Sometimes I plug in and it says running off power not charging and I replug then it works...
