Could a wall charger be 100% safely used to charge the new Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2? I have both and I'd rather do it that way than constantly move and shift my new iMac around on my desk fumbling to plug in and remove a Lightning cable to charge them.

If I'm right, USB 3 is 10W 2A, correct? If so could say an Anker wall charger of the same spec be used to safely charge these peripherals without any damage occurring to them?

This seems to have answered my question - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204621

Quoted from that page -

"Magic Mouse 2, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad 2 have built-in rechargeable batteries. You can charge these devices by connecting them to a Mac or a USB power adapter using a Lightning to USB Cable. For the fastest battery charging performance, be sure your device is switched on when connected to the Lightning to USB Cable."

Perfect!

Instead of shifting cords around, I simply plug them into my Aukey powered hub overnight.
