When my iPhone's battery gets completely depleted, it will no longer charge from wall charger... needs to be connected to computer, apparently, in order to charge. Anyone else have this problem, or an explanation?

I thought this was the case, but for me it turned out that when my battery was totally empty, it turned off, and normal start did not turn it back on. Plugging it in did not display a "charging" image. I thought it was not charging, but when I finally did a hard restart, (10 second hold down of sleep and front button) it came up and was totally charged.

seems that there is no charge indication when phone is turned off and not just asleep.

First, deep draining is BAD for the battery. These are lithium ion batteries, there is no need for a deep drain.

And second, per the manual, if the battery becomes too drained the display will not come back up even when being charged until the phone is charged to some very minimal point. I think about 5 minutes of charging is enough for the display to come up and 3 minutes before it will even turn on.

I'm having the same Charging Issue

Sometimes when I plug the iPhone in to charge via the wall plug/outlet it doesn't charge. Only when I plug it into my computer via USB will it charge. This occurs frequently even when the battery is more than 15%-20% of charge. I've tried a soft reset by turning the phone off, but still, the iPhone won't charge via wall outlet - ONLY when plugged into a computer via USB will it charge. What is going on???

Try a restore through itunes, for some reason a restore since buying the phone fixes a lot of problems.

Got the same issue. My battery drained completely, due to the poor battery life :(

And now it won't charage when pluged into the wall. It only charges when its connected to my laptop, I even restored it but the issue hasnt been fixed.

    i concur with the restore

After I bought my iPhone, it did not indicate a full charge after long charging cycles. I did a restore and have since charged it to full capacity twice. Both times the screen indicated it was at full charge. The status icon showed "plugged-in" battery, and large battery image was full of green and glowing.
