I'm quite new to macbook, i just buy my macbook 2 days back. I want to know what is the best method to protect the macbook battery
1) disconnected power cable just after fully charged
or
2) continue plug the machine even though battery is fully charged (if I do this, is it overcharging the battery)

please tell me, thanks.

It's essentially up to you, I keep mine plugged up most of the time but I let it run on battery now and then. This way, the juices are flowing. From another link provided below, it states, "Apple does not recommend leaving your portable plugged in all the time." Again, you should use it as your please and let it drain/calibrate once a month.
