charging time: from 14% to 97% - 217mins = 3hrs and 37mins

is my battery or charger normal? i thought the full charge from 0 to 100 is 3hrs only?

and by the way, my brick is connected to my old macbook power cord..

I charged mine fully for the first time this morning from about 3% remaining. It took 3 hours to fully charge. I also had my USB adapter plugged straight into a surge protector. Maybe the MacBook cord is affecting it some? I don't really see why it would though...

Just charge it overnight while you you are asleep. That's what I do with my phone and iPod.

Yeah use the wall charger or the $7.99 charger from radio shack.

That sounds about right. 4 hours charging for a ~10 hour battery life really isn't bad.

That's fine, it's normal for 3-5 hours. We're talking about two large batteries strapped that works for 10-12 hours straight.

It also takes 8-10 hours to charge it via USB, so use the wall charger or charge it overnight when you're sleeping.
