So just got a new car with wireless charging/CarPlay. When I get in it just toss the phone on the charger and go. Can I “over charge” the phone. Is it bad to have it on the charger every time I drive ?

It’s not like you’ll be driving with the phone on the charger 24/7. It’s fine to have it on the charger while your driving.
Battery won’t get harmed at all.

No, don’t worry. With older tech one could worry about the batteries ageing quickly, but that isn’t a real concern anymore. Smartphones have gotten smart and safe enough to not have issues with stuff like this.

Well, charging more often will wear your battery quicker and theoretically, the heat from wireless charging is not ideal for battery longevity either.

The question is whether it‘s worth worrying about. A battery replacement through Apple is pretty affordable, and the difference between your charging behaviour and a theoretical optimal charging habit could be negligible anyway.

apple charger or third party? either way the quality of juice coming from a car gives me some concern.
