is there anyway to charge up a macbook pro battery without charging it though the macbook, some kind of external charger. mine is dead and just found a MacBookProSMCUpdate.pk, problem is my macbook pro has to be at least 25% charged.
 
well ive got a 2008 macbook pro coming so ill just charge the battery with it then try the SMC update to see if it works.
