Hey guys, just got an email saying they flagged my preorder charge as fraud. I was the lucky few that got in 5 minutes before 12:01AM and now the charge is being declined. Will Verizon cancel my preorder? I am worried and pissed at Chase.
 
I have had this problem before. Usually, they try the card again later, or contact you to let you know there was a problem. Didn't delay my order, so hopefully, you will be alright.

I have Chase and contacted them about the pending charge. They said nothing was showing up, so I am a little worried.
 
Chase sent me the email asking to confirm the charge - which I did with he click of a button. All is well...atleast with that ONE order for me.
 
I haven't gotten anything from Chase - got my Apple order email about 40 minutes ago.

My Chase account shows the pending Apple Store purchase, but shows the pending amount as $0.00.

Is this normal? I didn't get any alert about fraud or anything.
 
THis often happens if you are charging $100 more than you have even charged on that card.
 
Just called Chase to let them know the transaction would be coming through. They said my account should have no issues.

I got a confirmation email immediately, but no charge. I chose in-store pickup.
 
This happened to me once. Their advice - call them in advance and let them know you'll be making a big purchase thru Apple.
 
Okay so called chase and they said the charge went through and they didn't decline it but they just wanted to confirm with me. Let's hope that is the case because I'll be pissed if Verizon cancels my order. I'll be sure to call in advance next time so they can expect the charge.
 
Just called Chase.

They said they didn't see anything about the payment on my records, even though when I log into my account I see a pending Apple Store transaction from today.

What gives?? Just slow to update their system??
 
When your credit card failed they probably cancelled your order. This happened to me on AT&T. I ended up walking in two weeks after launch (this was the 4s).
 
Just spoke with Verizon and they said my order was completely fine and to expect it on the 19th! If anyone else has the same issue, call their internet sales department at: 1-866-338-7390. I was on hold for 40 minutes but it was well worth it. I can sleep now!
 
Same nonsense happened to me. So pissed right now. My wife's phone went through on the same card but mine says pending payment as payment was declined. Worst part is says go to the apple store to fix and their stupid site is still down.

I called chase & they say oh just repurchase it. WTF!!!! Then the customer service rep hung up on me. ��������

As soon as that happened God must have looked out for me because all of a sudden I was able to get into the Apple website and reprocess the payment. Phew������

Same thing happened to me this morning. I ordered iphone6 at midnight and got confirmation email immediately. About 40 min later, I got a fraud alert email from chase asking me to call 800 454 9078. I was suspicious of that number, so I contacted chase directly, and the rep said they will call me back after reviewing my account today. But there was no callback until now and nothing came up on my credit card account. I just called them again, the rep kept saying just wait for a call from them. I called verizon to confirm my order and explained the situation. The verizon rep said it happens a lot, so there is nothing to worry about, and also they will contact me if there's any problem in my order. But I'm still worried... Anyone who ordered thru verizon website? The charges appeared on your card account?
 
This happened to me as well with my Chase debit card… I contacted AT&T and they said nothing about the preorder affected it. Thank God.

Let's say I didn't get my Gold 5S till a month later....even though I ordered 5 minutes BEFORE Midnight via AT&T.

Weren't most of the gold 5S is delayed a month?

Not if you ordered it quick enough, which I knew I did. I couldn't deal with AT&T till the morning. Then of course they botched it that new order as well. I didn't have a GOOD order made till well after noon Pacific Time. Didn't get the Gold 5S till near the end of October.
