Before our civilization was another...in the deep past. They developed AI which eventually ran the planet. The people eventually rebelled and destroyed the AI. But the AI was smart, it encoded the desire to develop tech into the genetic make up of the humans who brought about its demise. It distributed it's compute power across the whole of humanity to bring about it's own resurrection in the deep future: our present. Every human has in their skull a node in this network that spans time and space. It called a Biologically Reduced Artificial Intelligence Node. A BRAIN.

Come on MacRumors... people are confused about AI too much already.

ChatGPT is a chatbot, not a model. It uses models. Within ChatGPT, users can choose from many pre-trained models, both general and specialized.

The article fails to mention which models have these new capabilities. (Hint: it's not a model called "ChatGPT").
