I just want to make sure because when I click on the hyperlink, it shown that the mighty mouse was sold by either J&J, Vann or Compusa. I think it's because this third party is ready to ship and Amazon won't ship out until 1-2 weeks. I need to click on buy new&use, then I find amazon.... Amazon sells this for $49. I think others sell it for $49.99....

Hey, hey, hey! I think you may be right :( :( :( !!!

Nowhere in my order can I find where it's coming from... but the fact that they are two separate shipments makes me believe that it's from J&R... so no rebate...

Well, fortunately, it still had not shipped, so I cancelled the mouse, and re-ordered it through Amazon - now it shows 1-2 weeks, as where before it showed arriving on dec. 23. I only hope that it still qualifies as having bought together with the iBook, since neither shipped. But I guess the downside is that maybe the entire order will arrive in two weeks... either that, or I don't get the rebate from Amazon even if I bought it through Amazon and not J&R... bummer :(

Teaches you not to buy stuff at 2:00 am in the morning... gotta read the fine print six times over!

Whew! Glad you caught it luvmac, you're the best!

Mighty Mouse Link

I just ordered one of these iBooks for the kids, and clicked on the Mighty Mouse link to take advantage of that offer. I noticed the item that popped up indicated it would be sold by CompUSA. I checked the terms of the rebate and saw that it was an Amazon rebate and thus the mouse must come from Amazon. Looking around, I noticed a link for the mouse from Amazon under New & Used, clicked on it and got it from Amazon. It's apparently on back-order, but that's fine, as long as it gets here in time to submit the rebate request.

I've had this happen before, on other items. Kind of sneaky, not sure if it's by design, or if as another poster suggested it's to get us what we ordered as quickly as possible. Best to read and double-check the terms of each rebate, and double-check that what you order meets the requirements. Otherwise, every Amazon rebate I've ever submitted has been processed in a timely manner. Much better than many companies, in my experience.
