does anyone know of any retail chain stores that have prices comparable to the online resellers? i need 2 Gigs of RAM for my macbook.

I've found that the bigger chain stores, ie. circuit city and best buy, generally don't have very good prices on RAM. Every time I've looked, their prices for 1 GB of RAM match that of 2 GB from newegg or crucial.

yeah i figured that i just hate ordering things online and waiting and such

I know circuit city has a 10% off coupon which will help on the ram but buying online will still be cheaper most of the time. I would also check out compusa...they sometime have better deals.

You might be able to find an online retailer that's close to home to cut down on shipping time. For example, I believe buy.com usually ships from Jersey, so their items reach me in NYC in two days tops. Of course, I had a problem with my last order 🙄
