Are there any cheap unlocked GSM 3G wifi hotspot creators? I was going to use my iPhone 3GS ,but it seems an unlock for it will not be coming soon.

To wifi tether with your 3GS you need to be JB first and then use either MyWi or PDAnet.
MyWi is $20 and pdanet free edition will start blocking secure web sites (web sites that require login) after the 14-days-trial expiration. Full version is $16.
