Cheaper alternatives to Mywi on iOS 5

Is there any cheaper alternative tethering apps that work for iOS 5.01? Mywi is nice, but $20 is a bit steep especially it requires you to jailbroken iphone which for the moment only tethered jailbroken is available.

I can live with just USB tethering, Wifi tethering is nice but not necessary.

Your post makes no sense. All alternatives to the official carrier based tethering require a jailbroken device. There are 3; MyWi, Tetherme and PDANet.
