Wow, thanks for the blast from the past update ;)

I have got a pair of 2.1 computer speakers that I've connected up from time to time to the iPad and they make a jaw dropping amazing difference.

It's like the iPad has become a brand new device. In games there are now sound effects I have never heard before, and I have bass as well !!! it's amazing!

Or course, it's a pain in the bum having a wire, but it was zero cost as I already had the 2.1 speakers.

From the music standpoint, I've sort of accepted the only REAL answer is the Apple Airport Express, connected to an Amp and speakers.

I read all the complex answers to this post.
I forgot all that and just connected an audio stereo cable from the headphone jack on my IPad2 to an audio RCA input jacks on my receiver.

Works just fine. No Prob.

Am I missing something?
