Cheapest graphics card for Mojave on a 5,1 redux

Following up on an earlier thread this year,

So what’s the cheapest graphics card for Mojave on a 5,1?

I'm also looking for an inexpensive GPU for my Mac Pro 5,1 so that I can upgrade to Mojave.

Can someone recommend a card which:

1) Runs OOB (out of the box), so I can get up and running immediately

2) But can be flashed with Mac BIOS or EFI to get Boot Screen

3) Does not require power cable

4) Fits in a single slot if possible

Speed and performance are secondary considerations, as I don't plan to play games or do anything graphics-intensive on this machine.

Are there any contenders?

By single slot you mean only uses a single PCIe slot? I mean you realize that almost every cards occupies dual space even though it only uses a single slot. as a matter of fact the Mac Pro was designed with this in mind and that is why the Bottom 2 slots are spaced to allow for this. Cause if you are not willing to allow for could slot spacing there are not any cards that I can think of.

They were sold out of the GT 630 so I bought a GT 640 from them. Other advantage is low power/heat.

Hi,

does anyone knows if a moded rom for GT 630 is available to turn a PC into a MAC card with bootscreen?
The 630 from macvid is over 200$ including shipping costs. I got a HP card for 35$.
I know macvid is doing a great job but 200$ for this card seems insane. The card they are selling seems to be a HP too.
