I'm looking to add this Samsung SSD (512 GB version) to my Mac Pro and I was wondering where is the cheapest place to get it at the moment in Europe. The cheapest I've seen was on Amazon for around 290€ including shipping.

I assume there should be a lot of good deals now around Christmas time?

I'm waiting until after Christmas for prices to come down. Amazon.de seems the cheapest right now.

Did you order it already?
It's on sale for 289 right now. Apparently usually it costs 376. It said there was none left anymore, and they would be available today again. Now it says available from 5th of January. I'm wondering if the price will drop even more…

There's another one who offers it for 281€ + 4€ shipping but I prefer not to order from him. Only 2 reviews and one is bad haha

For which size? I just looked and 1tb 840 Evos are 350ish and 850 Evos are over 400 still.

Oh okay, I only looked around for the 850 (Pro) in the 512 GB version. I thought you were looking at the Pro version!

Well I'm looking at all the prices in general, I want to get something to put into a thunderbolt enclosure. Prefer the 850 Evo now, as I have an 850 Pro as my boot drive, but it's still pretty expensive. They haven't dropped the price here in Europe of the 840 Evo, but it has dropped in the US.

You're not satisfied with the 850 Pro?
And I never look outside of Europe, it's not worth it if you add transport and taxes.

Here where I live we have a site called Geizhals.at – since you are Dutch you should be able to understand a little bit, enough to do a search. Basically it shows you the place with the lowest price. You can search inside all of the EU with it. It works for a lot of products, except if they are very rare, in that case it might find the item, but it may not be the cheapest.

Cheers, I am not Dutch but I can read enough to understand. The other site I use is hardware.info, it has a price comparison option.

I'm happy with the 850 Pro, but I also want a thunderbolt external for media storage. I already have the Lacie Rugged enclosure but looking to buy a Samsung SSD to put inside it.
