ive been trying to jailbreak my 6s plus on iOS 9.1 but keep getting a error on pangu, failed to check updates. I've tried rebooting phone and laptop, redownloading pangu, run as admin but can't get it to shift. Anybody any ideas please?

Disable any firewall or security programs, make sure the Pangu download is from the official site, and close iTunes while attempting to run Pangu again. If that doesn't work, we have other things to try. Is your iTunes version the latest version?

I'll try them things and come back to you. Much appreciated. iTunes isn't the latest, strange thing is that I was able to jailbreak another 6s plus last week without any problem.

Running the latest iTunes is part of trouble shooting this.... Might as well update. The problem with this ( normally ) is that something is stopping Pangu from reaching the net. Hence disabling security, running as admin, along with the newest iTunes which will install the newest drivers. This may not be the reason, but it doesn't hurt, and it's mandatory to trouble shoot this

Just to rule things out, completely reboot both the PC and phone.... Try one more time. Also, when you upgraded to 9.1, did you do it over wifi, or thru iTunes via a cable?

Rebooted both to no avail. I got the phone on iOS 9.1. Thanks for all the help

Devices that were updated over wifi rather than through iTunes via usb have a history of not being able to be jailbroken..... Not saying this is your issue, but could be. I'll dig around a bit and see what else I can find

Edit: can't really find a for sure fix. Some people have had luck by using pangu's 1.0 version instead of the newest one. Although it had a bug or 2, it may be something to try. Best of luck

Been out for a few hours, just tried again and it's worked. May have been an issue at pangu's end? Either way I'm happily jail broken and just setting it up. Thanks for the input @StarkCity
