I remember earlier this year when the Wii and PS3 were nearing their release date, eBay were removing all 'receipt' auctions where the seller had little more than a pre-order note from the stores.

But with the recent announcement of no iPhone preorders eBay should really just blanked delete all iphone listings until the official release day.
