My MBP died yesterday. Previously have brought it to the Genius Bar twice, once to reset the RAM and the second time to replace the RAM, both times under warranty. Yesterday brought it back, looks like the logic bar needs to be replaced.

However when the Genius tech looked up the previous repairs he said there was no record of my machine ever being repaired. I took out the last repair order and we found out the previous tech used a number 5 vs. S, so they found the error and fixed it.

What I'm mad about is that since I'm legally blind my wife pointed it out to me, I thought the tech was correct and made a change to my apple care with the 5 now I have to change it back.

Just make sure you check the numbers in the future so that the Genius Bar will show that the repairs were done on your machine

Preventable error. Whoever took your MacBook Pro and set it up for repair should've verified the name and maybe even telephone number and/or address when pulling up the serial number.
