Check videocard load on 10.13.6 (MBP Late 2011)

So my father uses MacBook Pro Late 2011 (i7+6770), and I would like to see the video card load. Of cause I can use a third-party utility, but why base one doesn't show anything? It's broken? Any way to fix it?
