Easy enough to determine. Go to the order status page on your account on the Apple store website. If it has a red bar on top of the status and a note to correct the problem then it's legitimate. The link it gives allows you to change the payment information or reattempt an autjorization.

Not all credit card types show temp charges. Are you sure the charge isn't reflected in your current available credit?
I had a pending charge for a few days, then yesterday afternoon I checked to see if it was still pending...not so much. The charge just disappeared all together. Definitely not thrilled bout Apple playing with my emotions right now. 😡
Nope, I just checked.
I'll keep an eye on it and call them the middle of next week if I don't see anything by then.

My CC still has a pre-auth. Been there for a few days now. Longer time than the previous pre-auths.
Ditto. But, since it has been taking so long it does appear Apple will likely instruct FedEX/UPS to hold the Ipads until the 30th.
