This is supposed to test your CPU
I've tried this on my friend's computer (Samsung) and he got >300 dogs
I only got 122 dogs on my 13" high tier macbook pro retina and I'm wondering if this is normal..

Terrible test, it's basically testing your Flash implementation and it doesn't even utilize my entire CPU (even if I ignore my hyper-threads). No hardware test run in the browser will ever be decent.

I've got the late 2013 rMBP 15" 16 Gb Ram, 512 GB HD, 2.3 GHz i7 and I got 189 on Safari and 164 on Chrome. On the laptop my daughter just got for Christmas which is a Toshiba with a dual core i5 and 6 Gb of Ram, it score a 264. So I don't think this is a great test to match our computers with Windows machine's. I don't believe it can accurately get all of the performance out of our machines. I'd try something like Geekbench across the machines and compare those numbers.
