Space Grey 38mm Sport moved!
I ordered my 38mm space grey sport on April 22nd at the Long Island apple store in New York. Today I checked my order and it says shipping in 3-5 weeks. (The order is still processing, but at least the time frame changed from "June" to "3-5 weeks"). Expected order should come in around May 21-June 4!

The pace should pick up though, I'm sure orders were skewed towards 12 am PDT, when there was a huge rush to order. It's got to have tapered off dramatically after that. They'll get to you faster than you think!
I'm wondering if a lot of the deliveries were deliberately pushed out by Apple simply to deter the habitual returners?
You know, the folks who competitively pre-order the latest, get it on launch day, brag on their facebook/instagram they had it FIRST! and then - having had their free fun - return it and brag again that it wasn't good enough for them!
Those people are a huge financial cost. Everyone else picks up their tab one way or another. Particularly so for the watch since the iFixit teardown looks like it's not easily refurbish-able if returned. Returned watches might just be scrapped resulting in a complete writeoff for Apple.
OTOH, folks who are quite prepared to do the try-on first and then wait past release day are more likely to be serious customers. I know that sounds like the best customers get the worst treatment - but if you have made your mind up that you really want something then it's not such a big deal waiting is it?

Same update for me this am. This is a second watch for wife. 42 sport w blue strap ordered on 4/24. Updated shipping time this am.(2-3 weeks) However 42 SS with blue leather loop has not changed. Now I know they would change shipping estimate if the delivery time at this point was less than originally stated.
My order also changed.
I actually ordered two on April 15. A 42 space and 38 silver with white sport. They changed my order from "JUNE" to May 21 - June 4. Maybe because I ordered 2 they moved it up?
I have a 42mm Space Gray Sport that I ordered at 6:45 PM MT/8:45 PM ET on April 10 and it did just move up from "June" to "Ships 4-6 weeks, Delivers May 29 - June 11."

Hmmmm, interesting...I ordered a 42 SG on April 14th and mine still says June...you might be right about ordering 2 if that is the case.
I'm thinking that's what happened. The White Sport seems to be fulfilling faster. Or they saw how much I spend on Apple products in a year.
i ordered a 42mm SG Sport on april 23rd as of 1:51pm onthe 27th its still just JUNE. I ordered my wifes on the 25th 42mm Silver Sport White band and hers as of 1:51pm today went from JUNE to may14th delivery. Also on both of them i cannot edit any shipping details for the orders now.
I ordered a White 38mm sport and canceled that one yesterday. I then ordered the 38mm Stainless Steel with Black Classic Buckle. So I placed the order yesterday.
A text from Apple said it is scheduled for deliver tomorrow.
I don't think they "moved up" anything. I think they just narrowed the Window from the vague "June" to the more specific May 29 - June 11 I've been seeing.
Mine's been like that since I first ordered. I don't think that's an indication of progress (or lack of) in shipping.
Can you still change your "ships to" address? If so, then I wouldn't get excited. If you can't, then you might be in store for some joy soon!
