I didn't know whether to post this here in macOS or in iOS but there's a problem with my iCloud. When I add a repeated reminder and when I end up checking it on a certain device, it remains unchecked on all others

So let's say I have a reminder to water the plant that reminds me every week, if I mark it as completed on my iPhone, when I get home and turn on my iMac, here it is, reminding to water my plant even if I marked it as completed on my iPhone..

This only happens with repeated reminders AND location reminders...

Is this normal? Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Check on www.icloud.com in a browser - does the reminder show complete there? If no, then it's an issue between the iPhone and iCloud. If it's okay on iCloud.com but not on the Mac, it's an issue on the Mac.

Knowing that will help focus troubleshooting to the proper device.

same issue here between my Mac, iPad and two iPhones. In fact my Mac keeps showing the damn 1 even if there is no reminder at all. i eve signed out and back into my Apple ID and restored all my iDevices

I was also frustrated with this issue. The trick seems to be with Fetch New Data setting.

On your iOS device,
Go to Settings -> Reminders -> Accounts (iCloud) -> Fetch New Data
Turn on Push from top

Below you will see all accounts that you would have setup on your iOS device. Go to iCloud settings.
Select Push.

Come out of Settings and try adding/updating some reminders.

Hope this solves the problem.

Cheers,
Ashish

I have this same issue. I would check the reminders on my phone over the course of the day, then when I open my Macbook in the evening, there they are again. Super annoying.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what ashishn is referring to: When I go to Settings --> Reminders I don't have the option to click on "Accounts" next. This is on iOS 11. Can you help out? Any other ideas?
