iOS checking data type in Xcode 8.1

So once upon a time you could put your mouse over a variable name and see the data type using the command button. When I do so now I see a nice question mark for self defined classes. Anyone having the same fun?

I've always had this with Xcode. It is extremely erratic. 🙁
