iPad Checking for update, an error occurred

I'm on an ipad 2 with iOS 6 beta 3 and just get this every time I go to software update. Anybody else got the same/got a fix?

I am also getting this on both my iPhone and iPad. Is there a fix? I'd hate to have to restore.

My iPhone updated no problem but my iPad 3 gives me an error.

Turn wifi off/on, if that does not work then turn on airplane mode while the device is checking for updates then quickly turn it off while it is still checking.

I closed out all apps and turned my device off/on.
That's what fixed it for me.

Thanks for posting that link, somebody on the apple forums said to turn off location services and after nothing else worked that did.

Glad it worked. I think many forget about the Apple forums.

Had the same issue. Restarted my device, turned wifi on/off and it's fine now.

That worked for me on Wifi only iPad 2.

Tried all of the above with no luck. Then tried it when it was charging and it worked first time!

Doing a "reset network settings" on my iPhone 4S and iPad 3 fixed my errors I was getting.
