Checking watch while in bed

So I'm noticing that when I raise my wrist up while laying in bed, the screen rarely turns on. When I'm standing or sitting, it works as intended. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, because it's not being raised up in that position. I haven't found it difficult to just tap the screen.
