• Check for any loose or missing screws along the bottom of the MacBook Pro, neer the Hinge.

Me too.

It appears Apple is the Volkswagen of computers. Just like a top-of-the-line Jetta is faster and fancier than a Honda Civic, so too is an MBP to (most) Thinkpads.

But like the MBP, a VW is known for its quirks and flaws.

I was really hoping for a BMW.

Matter of opinion really. I looked at both and the Civic Si was quicker and had a nicer loaded options package.

Comparing the quirks and flaws of quality. That is spot on.

why? Simply because of all the damn problems that keep popping up. Just look at the checklist. Someone else made another thread with a poll and according to that thread the poll shows a 12% rate of problems. I'm sure it's higher than it really is but after hearing about sleep issues, screws falling out, getting random screen shut downs when playing games, getting random black boxes etc it gets scary.

The new mbp is 3 weeks old? In a year they are all going to fail LOL. I know apple will fix the problems but it'll suck being without my computer for weeks while it gets fixed.

Well if you think so, dont buy it .. easy peasy.

Don't forget that usually people go to forums to fix problems so ... yes there are a lot of posts about problems.

The black hinge in the middle of my mbp isnt flush with the aluminum.
Also when I switch to better battery my computer freaks out all the images I see are ruined, im guessing my nvidia 9400m is broken.
